Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started in the form of a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina followed it up and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 a gold medal in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career when she was in the year 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous awards, such as the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut took place in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. The following two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous verdict and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina's striking skills were superior and enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. After this win, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous victory, however she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night reward for the bout. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights before losing her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
